We take the time to make sure you get the best quality transfer of your family memories.  We use professional transfer equipment and have been trained on techniques to best  provide for our customers.  And lastly what sets us apart is the timeliness by which provide you a finished product.  You won't wait weeks or months with little or no communication, we have the equipment to get multiple pieces done at the same time so you can get your stuff back quickly.

How much does it cost to work with Hackett's Digital-File Creations?

Our pricing is based on quantity discounting.  The more you need done, the cheaper it gets to have it done.

How long does it take to get my items converted to digital format?

Our typical turn around time for most media is 7-10 days depending on the season.  Nov-Jan and April-May are extremely busy times and therefore may push us to 10-14 days. Expedited services are available but may incur additional charges.

What if my tapes are blank or just have random TV shows?

If tapes are blank there is no charge for  blanks.  If we have to scan through tv shows to determine if there is family content then we charge $2 per tape as a previewing fee.

Does it matter how much footage is on each tape?

Yes and No.  Each tape is counted separately regardless whether there is 10 minutes or 2 hours of footage.  However tapes that were recorded on LP or EP will count as an additional tape for every 2 hours of recording.  A tape that is 2 hours and 10 minutes we will not charge additional.

How do I get started?

Simply contact us via email, text or FB Messenger and we can set up a time for your to bring your items to us, OR if you are outside the drive-able distance you can simply mail your media to us.

Do I get my media back after conversion?

The simple answer is YES, if you want your media back, we will happily return your media.  What we've found over the years is people are looking to declutter or downsize space and have trouble throwing stuff away, but feel like if they give it to us, and we dispose of it for them, they don't have that on their conscience. So I would estimate 60% of our clients do not want their old media back, in which case we will be sure to dispose and destroy it at least 30 days after you've received your converted media back from us.

How will I receive my converted media back?

The most common  media conversion is on USB Flash Drives.  We can also provide DVD copies if needed, however DVD players are also obsolete.  Additionally, if you would like us to upload your files to Google Drive, we can provide that service as well which can be shared with family and friends all around the world.
